LocumTenens.com Telehealth Program Director Jamie Threatt, DNP, met with lawmakers for this year's ATA Action's Hill Day to advocate for extending Medicare telehealth flexibilities, which are presently set to expire at the end of September. Jamie reported strong bipartisan support for telehealth, noting that "no one wants to see these flexibilities lapse." She and other ATA Action members were optimistic that extensions will continue until a more permanent policy comes together.
